I began this blog all on my own, but it didn’t take long to realize that I needed help to make it successful. My life is far from routine and keeping consistency with new posts is harder than I would have thought. I also realized that there were a couple of voices around me that needed to be heard as well. So I invited my sister and sister-in-law to join me.
Here we are now, working away at creating a place for all of our followers to come and find information on real food recipes, homesteading, natural health, and our crazy lives. Join the journey!
Tiffany Murphy (Blog Creator)
I’m a wife, homeschooling mother, artist, farmer, and real foodie. When I was little I thought I wanted to be a doctor. I was fascinated with the human body. I memorized all of the bones when I was 7. It didn’t take me long to realize that blood and guts were, well… super gross! So my dream died and I moved on to other things like art, writing, pageantry, and psychology. As life went on it threw me a few curve balls in the health department and my passion was rekindled. But this time I didn’t want to be a doctor. I did want to know all I could about how to be healthy and do it naturally. And so my obsession with health, real food, living green, and being self sufficient began. I discovered that so much about health is a mystery, and that so much of the science behind it can be contradicted at every turn. The fountain of youth may very well elude us forever. On the other hand I have discovered small miracles that help my family be happier and healthier every day. With that The Healthy Honeys was born. I wanted to create a place to share my passion for health, and my small personal victories. It is still a great learning process that I look forward to everyday.
Megan Willis (Assistant Blogger)
Megan has a degree in Health Science. She has always been the one to go out and tackle the world in new ways. She has tried everything from fencing to intramural football to stay active. She has learned to pole vault, and participates in ultimate frisbee. She loved track and field, which has carried into her adult life. She now runs with her husband and little boy. And has found some great on-line assets for at home workouts. She is our inspiration to be fit and active.
She was also the first to plunge into the world of at home births, and cloth diapering. Megan also has an interest in becoming a midwife one day.
Megan also blogs at Onewillisfamily.blogspot.com.
